IQAC-GKCE organized the Faculty Development Program on Prompt Engineering in Education was held over five days with the objective of equipping educators with the knowledge and skills to effectively design and implement prompts that enhance learning outcomes. The program aimed to explore various types of prompts, their cognitive implications, technological applications, and strategies for integration into curriculum and assessment. Overall 56 faculty from all Departments participated and examined best practices through case studies highlighting successful implementations of prompt engineering across various disciplines. The Resource person Dr. E. Vijaya Krishna Rapaka, Chairman ISTE (Puducherry Chapter) provided Practical sessions focused on implementing prompts in curriculum design, emphasizing the development of rubrics and guidelines for assessing prompt quality. The FDP on Prompt Engineering in Education concluded with participants presenting their action plans and projects, showcasing their understanding and readiness to implement learned strategies in their educational institutions. The program successfully equipped educators with practical skills, theoretical knowledge, and collaborative networks necessary to enhance student engagement and learning through effective prompt design.
