About Gokula Krishna College of Engineering
Established in 2001 under the aegis of Sri Krishna Educational Society (SKES), Gokula Krishna College of Engineering (GKCE), Sullurpet, has been a beacon of technical education in Andhra Pradesh for over two decades. SKES was founded in 2000 by visionary leaders—President Sri G. Brahmaiah Garu, General Secretary Sri C. Srinivasa Baba Garu, and Treasurer Sri M.M. Kondaiah Garu—with the noble mission of transforming young minds into responsible and skilled professionals. The society remains committed to imparting value-based education and integrating technological advancements to empower students for global challenges.
GKCE is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur (JNTUA), Ananthapuramu and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The institution is recognized under section 2(f) of the UGC Act and holds ISO 9001:2015 certification. In recognition of its commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement, GKCE was accredited by NAAC in 2023.
One of GKCE’s distinct advantages is its proximity to India’s spaceport—SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota. This rare geographical privilege has enriched the academic environment of the college, with scientists from SHAR frequently visiting the campus as chief guests, delivering expert lectures, and inspiring students through interaction and mentorship.
Strategically located along NH-16, the 25-acre campus enjoys excellent connectivity to Chennai and Nellore, and is in close proximity to Sri City and Tada, a rapidly growing industrial hub. This prime location enhances industry-academia interaction, offering students hands-on exposure and opportunities for real-world learning. While GKCE was originally established to serve the rural student population, its reputation has grown to attract students from across the state.
