Dr. M. Suresh  has been serving as the Principal of Gokula Krishna College of Engineering (GKCE), Sullurpet, since January 24, 2019. With over two decades of distinguished experience in teaching, research, and academic administration, he is passionately committed to driving quality education, institutional development, and sustainable growth at GKCE. 

        His academic journey began with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from YSRR Polytechnic, Pulivendula (SBTET) in 1995, followed by a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from AMACE, Kanchipuram (University of Madras) in 1999. He further pursued his M. Tech in Thermal Engineering at JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad, completing it in 2005. Dr. Suresh earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from JNTUA College of Engineering in 2018, with research focused on the performance analysis of biodiesel derived from non-edible oils, examining various blends, piston crown modifications, and additive usage in compression ignition (CI) engines.

          Joining GKCE in 2003 as an Academic Assistant, Dr. Suresh has played several crucial roles, including serving as the Exam Cell In-Charge and the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, before taking up the mantle of Principal. Throughout his career, he has taught a wide array of subjects such as Thermodynamics, Thermal Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Power Plant Engineering, Non-Conventional Energy Sources, Engineering Drawing, and Management Science.

           Dr. Suresh has published more than 10 research papers in reputed national and international journals and has guided 12 M. Tech students and over 50 undergraduate students in their academic projects. His scholarly contributions and administrative leadership were instrumental in GKCE achieving NAAC accreditation in 2023.

        Recognized for his exemplary leadership, Dr. M. Suresh Garu was honoured with the Best Principal Award by the National Science Foundation, Coimbatore, in the year 2023.

           A proud native of the village, Dr. Suresh remains deeply committed to the growth of GKCE and the holistic development of its students. He is dedicated to nurturing young engineers with a strong foundation in technical knowledge, discipline, and a sense of social responsibility.
