✢ TinkIT - Tinkering with IoT
Two-days workshop titled “TinkIT – Tinkering with IoT” was organized by the GKCE-BCDE student coordinators on 27th and 28th April 2024. The workshop aimed at fostering practical skills and knowledge transfer in the field of Internet of Things (IoT) among participating students from the III B. Tech CSE & ECE departments. the workshop delved deeper into IoT application development. Students were guided through interactive sessions on IoT project planning, implementation strategies, and case studies of successful IoT applications. Participants worked in teams to design and prototype IoT solutions for real-world scenarios, applying the knowledge gained from the workshop sessions. The workshop not only equipped students with technical skills but also fostered collaboration and innovation among participants.
✢ Build Your Own Generative AI Model
On 18th December 2023, an online workshop titled “Build Your Own Generative AI Model” was organized for 40 B. Tech. ECE students of GKCE. The workshop aimed to introduce students to the concepts and practical applications of Generative AI, facilitated by Mr. Trivikrama, an AI expert and distinguished alumnus of IIT Delhi. Students were provided with practical demonstrations and exercises to build their own Generative AI models using accessible tools and platforms. Participants gained insights into model creation, experimentation, and refinement processes under expert guidance. The program not only enriched their knowledge of Generative AI concepts but also equipped them with practical skills essential for future endeavours in AI and technology-driven fields.
✢ AI in Healthcare - Lung Disease Detection with AI-Powered Google Teachable Machine
On 15th September 2023, the Department of CSE organized a workshop focusing on “AI in Healthcare: Lung Disease Detection with AI-Powered Google Teachable Machine.” The workshop aimed to educate participants on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in medical diagnostics, specifically using Google’s Teachable Machine platform for lung disease detection. The resource Person Dr. E. Vijaya Krishna Rapaka, Chairman ISTE (Puducherry Chapter) provided an overview of how AI technologies, particularly machine learning algorithms, are transforming healthcare diagnostics. The focus was on the potential of AI to enhance accuracy and efficiency in detecting lung diseases. Participants engaged in a practical session where they learned to use Google’s Teachable Machine platform for creating and training AI models. They explored techniques for image classification and understanding the underlying principles of AI-powered diagnostics
✢workshop on Music Therapy and Yoga Benefits
On 10th August 2023, the NSS (National Service Scheme) unit of Gokula Krishna College of Engineering, Sullurpet, in collaboration with the Sahaja Yoga Meditation Centre, organized a transformative event centered on Music Therapy and the benefits of Yoga. The event aimed to promote holistic health and well-being among students and faculty through the healing power of music and the ancient practice of yoga. It provided a platform for students and faculty to explore holistic healing practices and learn from experts in the field. The event underscored the college’s commitment to promoting overall wellness and fostering a healthy campus community.
