✢National Mathematics day
The Department of Humanities and Sciences organized a host of activities ( Power point presentation, Math quiz and Speak mathematics ) on 21st & 22nd December on the occasion of National Mathematics Day commemorating Sri. Srinivasa Ramanujan’s 136th Birthday” . The main objective of the event was to celebrate Sir Ramanujan’s birthday and make students realize the practical and daily life applications of Mathematics in engineering. The event aimed to celebrate the life and contributions of Sir Ramanujan while emphasizing the practical applications of mathematics in engineering and everyday life.
The Program started by lightening the lamp and garlanding Sir Srinivasa Ramanujan’s photo in the Department of Humanities and Sciences. The “Speak Mathematics” session provided a platform for students to articulate and present their understanding of complex mathematical concepts. The presentations underscored the importance of mathematics in various fields of engineering, showcasing its relevance and practical applications in contemporary settings. The quiz questions ranged from basic arithmetic to advanced mathematical concepts, challenging participants to think critically and apply their mathematical knowledge effectively. By engaging students through informative presentations, interactive quizzes, and insightful discussions, the event achieved its goal of fostering a deeper appreciation and understanding of mathematics among the participants.
